Born and raised in Lockhart, Texas - the barbecue capital of Texas, and perhaps the world - our dad Terry Black passed down generations of barbecue wisdom from his experience in the Lockhart BBQ scene.
We opened Terry Black’s to honor that hard-earned family know-how and to bring delicious Central Texas flavors to you with our own unique style.

Terry Black’s BBQ Dallas, opened in 2019 in the historic Deep Ellum neighborhood, offers versatile spaces for all occasions. With private indoor event rooms, an outdoor patio, and a full bar, it’s the perfect spot for gatherings of all sizes.
The Connolly Room provides an intimate setting with a private entrance, while the Opal Room suits larger events with garage door windows. Both rooms offer custom menu options, portable bar and music control, accommodating up to 85 guests.
